 氨甲環酸即傳明酸，CAS:1197-18-8，是一種蛋白酶抑制劑，能抑制蛋白酶對肽鍵水解的催化作用，從而阻止了如發炎性蛋白酶等酶的活性，進而抑制了黑斑部位的表皮細胞機能的混亂，并且抑制黑色素增強因子群，再徹底斷絕因為紫外線照射而形成的黑色素發生的途徑。即讓黑斑不再變濃、擴大及增加，從而能有效地防止和改善皮膚的色素沉積。
